Life is all about the decisions that you make. You have to choose wisely or pay the consequence.
Regardless of your decisions, they are exactly that…your decisions. However, I must say that the decision to quit on yourself en route to your goals is a foolish one and today I will give you 10 reasons why you can’t quit.
You only have one life to live, so live it, and keep these 10 reasons not to quit in your back pocket as a constant reminder.
10. PROVE THE HATERS WRONG
Half of your haters don’t even understand you or your goals, the other half may have some sort of understanding and that’s exactly why they are hating. You’ll find that most of your haters attempted to reach the same goal that you are striving for and experienced an epic fail.
9. YOU CAN ONLY GET BETTER WITH TIME
Climbing the ladder of success is not an easy task; however, once you get to the top you’ll be even stronger and wiser than you were when you initially started to go for your goal. If the climb is the hard part, so be it. Now that you are closer to your destination, the best is yet to come.
8. NO REGRETS TO THINK ABOUT
Just ask one of your elders and they’ll tell you that regret is one of the hardest things to live with. Quitting on yourself and your dreams and then having to live with that decision for the rest of your life is a fear that most don’t realize until it is too late.
7. LEARNING FROM MISTAKES
You are probably just a few tweaks away from reaching success. You’re going to fall, so just be prepared. The most important thing that you can take away from this is why you fell. How’s the old saying go? “Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
6. THE PURSUIT
I recently realized that it’s not about getting from point A to point B. It’s about everything in between. Your destination will come in time, so enjoy the ride.
5. IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE IN YOURSELF THEN NOBODY WILL
Belief is a perquisite to success. You have to believe in order to achieve. If you don’t trust in what you’re doing, nobody else is going to buy into what you’re selling. If you give up on yourself everyone else will too.
4. THERE IS NO OVERNIGHT SUCCESS
There is no such thing as an “overnight success”. If you believe in that you might as well go looking for unicorns too. You have a better chance at finding that unicorn than you do at becoming an overnight success. I once read that it takes a music artist ten years before they reap the reward to their efforts. With that being said; you only get back what you put in.
3. FAILURE TYPICALLY COMES BEFORE SUCCESS
All, I repeat, all successful people have failed before they found success. Henry Ford, Michael Jordan, and Sean “Diddy aka Puff Daddy aka Puffy aka P. Diddy aka Mr. TakeThatTakeThatTakeThat” Combs have all failed, but they didn’t let that stop them. Everything that is done in the dark will come to the light and all will soon see the talent that you truly are. Just keep pushing. Remember that feeling you had when you failed and don’t let go of it. Let it drive you.
2. DEFINES WHO YOU ARE
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. #EnoughSaid
1. YOU CAN DO IT
Your goal is more than a dream; it’s something that you can feel and it is certainly reachable. You are constantly striving to reach your goal, only because you honestly believe that you can achieve it. Life happens…and it happens often. Don’t let life’s punches defeat you. These blows are going to knock you down at times, but you have to keep getting up. You have to stay in the ring and keep fighting. Nothing can stop you, but you.
If these 10 reasons only serve one purpose, let it be a
lesson, one that demonstrates that you are not alone in this journey. There are not many footprints on the road
less traveled, but you will discover that those who have left their mark have
shared in some of the same experiences as you.
You can’t quit. This is your moment. Embrace it, cherish it, and never give it up.
