[Hot New Video!] DeJ Loaf feat. Birdman & Young Thug - "Blood"

DeJ Loaf made a name for herself over the summer with her street anthem "Try Me."  Now DeJ is doing everything in her power to not be Hip Hop's latest "one-hit wonder."  She has done everything from appearing on Eminem's Shady XV album to being seen between the pages of Esquire magazine.  In an effort to continue to build on her momentum DeJ Loaf has just released a visual to her mixtape single "Blood" featuring Birdman and Young Thug. The "Blood" track appears on DeJ Loaf's Sell Sole mixtape.

Keep an ear open for Detroit's DeJ Loaf, because I have a feeling this will not be the last we hear of the female emcee.  Check out the new "Blood" video below.

[Hip Hop News Now] Rick Ross Sits Down With Good Morning America And Explains "RossFit"

2014 has been the "Year of the Boss."  MMG captain Rick Ross has had the Midas touch this year, turning all of his efforts into great successes.  Now Rozay has found a way to be successful and bring sexy back.  Ross's new workout regiment has not only help him to shed over 80 pounds, it has also brought him once again into the spotlight.  Rozay's workout coined "RossFit" has become a trending topic and lead to his recent sit down with Good Morning America anchor, Sarah Haines.

The Good Morning America segment has comic appeal, but more importantly it also shows how Hip Hop is finally being respected.  "Shout out the Pear" as Sarah Haines referenced at the news desk after the segment.

You gotta love it.

[Hip Hop News Now] Donald Glover Gets The Nod From FX For Pilot About Atlanta Rap Scene

Donald Glover, known in the land of Hip Hop as Childish Gambino, has got the nod from FX Networks as the company will showcase his pilot that focuses on Atlanta’s scorching rap scene.  Glover has found success in both music and television and he now gets to combine the two in the pilot he created, Atlanta.

The pilot follows two cousins in Atlanta’s rap scene, with Glover playing a character named Earnest ‘Earn’ Marks, described as a “college dropout who reconnects with his long buried ambition and sets out to seize the life he imagined for himself when his estranged cousin becomes a sudden star.” Glover will also executive produce the show.

As an actor Glover played the role of Troy Barnes on NBC’s Community for five seasons before leaving the show earlier this year.  Glover aka Childish Gambino has most recently found success in music, being recently nominated for two Grammys.

Be on the lookout for Glover’s Hip Hop comedy Atlanta airing on FX soon.

[Hot New Music!] J. Cole - 2014 Forest Hills Drive (Stream Full Album Here)

Christmas is coming early for J. Cole fans.  Today the emcee released his 3rd album, titled 2014 Forest Hills Drive.  This is a huge surprise for Hip Hop enthusiasts as J. Cole’s latest album seen no promotion whatsoever.  There was not even one single or video released.  This is definitely J. Cole’s quietest album release to date, but I have a good feeling that this may turn into a quiet storm.

You won’t find a feature on this album, but what you will find is the North Carolina native at his best.  According to sources, J. Cole recently purchased the house that he and his mother were once forced out of …2014 Forest Hills Drive.  With that being said, it appears that J. Cole’s recent trip down memory lane has served as his motivation for his latest project.  Stream J. Cole’s new album 2014 Forest Hills Drive below and let us know what you think.  “Pump It or Dump It?”

Stevie Wonder Delivers Influential Speech Mid-Concert On Recent Killings

Legendary singer and musician Stevie Wonder may not be able to physically see, but right now he is seeing clearer than some people with 20/20 vision.  During a recent concert in Seattle for his Songs In The Key Of Life tour Stevie took a moment to express his feelings on the recent events that are currently dividing our country.

“Can you believe that in one month, two grand juries, secret grand juries, declined to indict two policemen for the killing of two black men? I just don’t understand that,” stated Wonder.  Stevie briefly spoke on the tragedies while he smoothly transitioned into one of his classic songs, “Living For The City.”

As Stevie concluded his powerful speech he added, “I do understand that something is wrong, real wrong, and we as family, Americans, all of us of all colors, need to fix it with a quickness, real soon. I love you; I really love you, and know that. And this is why this song is unfortunately still relevant today.”
