[Hip Hop News Now] Rick Ross Sits Down With Good Morning America And Explains "RossFit"

2014 has been the "Year of the Boss."  MMG captain Rick Ross has had the Midas touch this year, turning all of his efforts into great successes.  Now Rozay has found a way to be successful and bring sexy back.  Ross's new workout regiment has not only help him to shed over 80 pounds, it has also brought him once again into the spotlight.  Rozay's workout coined "RossFit" has become a trending topic and lead to his recent sit down with Good Morning America anchor, Sarah Haines.

The Good Morning America segment has comic appeal, but more importantly it also shows how Hip Hop is finally being respected.  "Shout out the Pear" as Sarah Haines referenced at the news desk after the segment.

You gotta love it.

[Hot New Music!] Rick Ross - Hood Billionaire (Stream Full Album Here)

Rick Ross and his MMG label have had a pretty good year and it looks like they are not easing up at all to close the year out.  Even with the current incarceration of Meek Mill, the Maybach Empire has definitely left its mark on the year 2014.

Let’s recap MMG’s 2014.  Earlier in the year Rozay released his 6th studio album, Mastermind, which debuted at #1.  Fellow MMG artist Meek Mill was all over the radio and mixtape circuit before landing himself in prison.  Currently, Stalley’s Ohio LP is available for purchase, selling over 10,000 copies its first week.  We also can’t forget about Wale who can recently be found hanging out with comedian Jerry Seinfeld.  The Washington, D.C. rapper just announced that he will be embarking on the “Simply Nothing” tour hitting 32 cities beginning on New Year’s Day.  Now to put the icing on the cake…Rick Ross will be releasing a second album this year scheduled to drop next Tuesday and The Roundtable Empire has the full album one week earlier for your listening pleasure.

The album features guest appearances from Jay Z, Snoop Dogg, R. Kelly, and more, with production from Timbaland, Statik Selektah, Metro Boomin, and DJ Toomp.  You can listen to the Hood Billionaire album in its entirety here.

[Hot New Music!] Rick Ross feat. R. Kelly - “Keep Doin’ That (Rich B*tch)”

Rick Ross never disappoints and with the recent announcement of his upcoming album entitled Hood Billionaire, one could only imagine where Rozay will take us with this LP.  Well, just a few days ago the MMG capo gave us a glimpse of what to expect with the anticipated album slated to drop November 24th.  Thursday night on Hot 97, DJ Funk Flex premiered Ross’ new track “Keep Doin’ That (Rich Bitch)” featuring the one and only Mr. 12-Play himself, R. Kelly.  There are already rumors of the two shooting a video for this track.

“Keep Doin’ That (Rich Bitch)” is the first song these two artists have collaborated on since their 2007 collab “Speedin’.”  The song speaks on the duo’s “experiences” with who seems to be Ms. Independent.  The mid-tempo paced banger is produced by V12 The Hitman and is surely something for the radio.  Check out the new Rick Ross joint featuring R. Kelly below and let us know what you think.

[Hot New Music!] Stalley feat. Rick Ross and August Alsina – “One More Shot”

Ohio based rapper Stalley is the next MMG artist on deck.  His long awaited debut album, Ohio, drops on October 28th and he’s about to show Hip Hop listeners exactly why Rick Ross signed him.  The reason I believe this is because the emcee has been in the MMG huddle for a while and now is the perfect opportunity to prove and tell.  His recent collaborations with Rozay are key indicators that Stalley is most definitely ready for his moment.

With the co-sign from Rick Ross, Stalley is looking to make his mark on the game.  Just last Friday the duo released a track titled “Everything A Dope Boy Ever Wanted”.  The song didn’t make the upcoming Ohio album, but today Stalley and Ross dropped another collabo, “One More Shot,” that will appear on the album.  This time around the MMG pair added R&B sensation August Alsina to the mix.   The track has a deep soulful swag to it and the three did the beat justice.  Check it out for yourself.  Listen to “One More Shot” by Stalley featuring Rick Ross and August Alsina below.

[Hot New Music!] The Game feat. Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Diddy, Fabolous, Wale, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Yo Gotti, Currensy, Problem, King Pharaoh, and TGT – “Don’t Shoot”

A few months ago hip hop heads were pleased to see the reunion of 50 Cent and the G-Unit, but one thing or should I say one person was missing.  Los Angeles rapper The Game may have missed out on one of the many reunions in hip hop music this year, however The Game doesn’t need a team.  Although, he does recruit some of hip hop’s heavy hitters for his latest track entitled “Don’t Shoot”.  The motivation behind this track was to shed light on the unjust society we live in.  For this proactive track The Game grabbed Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Diddy, Fabolous, Wale, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Yo Gotti, Currensy, Problem, King Pharaoh, and TGT.

African-Americans are losing their lives to the same hands of those paid to protect and serve us.  Where they do that at?  The answer is…everywhere.  This is a problem folks.  Racism is definitely alive and doing very well.  This is nothing new, but it’s time for the majority to stop thinking that they’re better than the minority and realize that together we can all progress. Until then we are all just running in place.

"The issues in Ferguson really hit home for me, and I feel compelled to use my musical platform to address this," The Game told Rolling Stone.  With all of the recent issues of police brutality and injustice it’s great to see these black men band together to take a stand.  This track in my opinion is this generation’s version of the 1989 hit “Self-Destruction”.

Listen below to the new track “Don’t Shoot” by The Game featuring Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Diddy, Fabolous, Wale, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Yo Gotti, Currensy, Problem, King Pharaoh, and TGT.

[Hot New Music!] Young Jeezy feat. Game and Rick Ross – “Beautiful”

Dope.  This is just one of the words I use to describe the latest single from Young Jeezy.  The new track “Beautiful” gets the cosign from Game and former nemesis Rick Ross.  I’m glad to see Jeezy and Ross put their beef aside because this track is straight flame and the beat is almost soulful.  It gives me that American Gangster vibe.

Jeezy’s album Seen It All is set to drop September 2nd and this may just be his best album to date.  A few days ago he released the track list to the album revealing features from T.I., Future, Lil Boosie, and more. Also just to give you a heads up, the Best Buy version of the album will feature two bonus tracks, one featuring Kelly Rowland and one with Akon.

I gave you my opinion, but I want to hear from you.  Check out “Beautiful’ by Jeezy featuring Game and Rick Ross below and let us know what you think.

[Hot New Music!] Rick Ross feat. Fabolous, Mase, and Big Krit – “Supreme” Remix

MMG Boss Rick Ross is keeping his March released album Mastermind alive and relevant during these late summer days.  Last week he released two new videos, which included the visual to the “Supreme” album version.  Now, the busier than ever Ricky Rozay drops a remix to that same “Supreme” track.  The song features Fabolous, Big Krit, and the newly reverted Harlem rapper Mase.

The Scott Storch-produced record was already a hit in my eyes, and now the track was just taken to all new levels.  Big ups to Ross for continuing to find ways to keep his movement fresh, even if it is just recycling the old.  Nowadays you have to stay in front of your audiences or become yesterday’s new.

Listen to the new “Supreme” remix below and who knows…maybe Rozay will be treating us to something again next week.  Stay connected with The Roundtable Empire via Twitter and Facebook.
